Past the Graveyard

IMG_71696113791583We were riding past the graveyard,

listening to jazzy blues, or bluesy jazz, or is it country, over the teksi’s/taxi’s radio, probably hooked to an apple, as we ride past the Chayla graveyard, reminding me of a boy with long hair and Phillipino roots, singing -so fitting as we ride past the graveyard,  as the old kings lie, they sing- all we are is dust, all that is is dust.. all that is is dust.. blasting on the radio, it makes you form an almost unconscious guilty assumption of the  driver’s musical taste, and of him, I hope he’s one of those really awesome elderly awesome dudes. It just gets under your skin and makes you wanna sing at the top of voice, knowing somehow that no one would care “Oh all we are is dust, all that is is dust…”
